The Limestone County Commission will hold a public meeting on Monday, October 5, 2026, immediately following the Commission's work session, which convenes at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Commission Chambers located at the Clinton Street Courthouse Annex, 100 South Clinton Street, 2nd Floor, Athens, AL 35611.
The Animal Care & Control department receives calls for assistance from the general public, various agencies, and county departments. All calls are responded to, and appropriate follow-up action is taken as required. Animal Control duties also include maintenance on animal cages, keeping cages in an acceptable state of cleanliness, and maintaining reports of calls and equipment on loan.
