A self-addressed, stamped envelope is required for return or acknowledgment. Turnaround time from the day of receipt of the document to the return of acknowledgment is one (1) day.
PURSUANT TO THE 1975 CODE OF ALABAMA, SECTION 7-9A-501(a)(1), effective January 1, 2002, the Limestone County Probate Judge’s office will ONLY record UCC-1s that include items “stuck” to real estate: i.e., fixtures, goods that are to become fixtures, as extracted collateral (oil, gas & minerals) and timber to be cut.
It is recommended, by the Secretary of State, that any AMENDMENT form, other than a termination, that pertains to a file prior to January 1, 2002, be re-filed with the Secretary of State.
